What is Happiness ? Moist Chocolate Raspberry Cake

What is happiness? moist chocolate raspberry cake
We always hear the saying – What do you want this year in 2008; most people will say –
“I want to find true happiness “
For some of us we will look everywhere – traveling, restaurants, shopping, bars, exciting places, etc
But why is it that we would not look with in ourselves? Why is that we won't allow ourselves to look within, is happiness something that you find under a rock or is happiness a state of mind?
We always say that we are going to be happy when we finally get that car, when we finally get that raise, or if we finally get that outfit sitting in the window at Banana Republic, or how about the fabulous boyfriend or girl by your side – in order to be happy
Ok folks...I hate to break it to you but if you are looking everywhere else but within yourself - you will never find it – happiness is a state of excitements – an excitement that fills your heart and brings positive energy around you
Happiness feels good now – happiness feels
We act like someone out there is hiding it from us, that only certain people are privileged to get it. Happiness is not the Louis Vuitton purse on your arm or the fancy sports car. Don’t get me wrong those things are fabulous because they could be like icing on the cake. However, happiness is an ingredient to the batter in the cake.
So why is it that we are not living in the happiness now. We are to enjoy the journey of life and be happy along the way even when we are learning life lessons. Who said we can’t be happy while discovering the world, discovering ourselves, and while embracing our challenges along the way.
I challenge you to shift your energy to gratitude. So it is through my own personal experience that the true foundation for happiness is in our hearts, true foundation of happiness is gratitude, and the other ingredient for happiness is being yourself and telling the truth.
So what is your recipe for happiness? What’s in your batter for the moist chocolate raspberry cake? Take a different approach to what you want this year and be inspired. Change it up. Instead of sitting there with a blank page trying to right your goals for 2008. Think about what is your recipe for happiness first.
I am sharing mine.
1 prayer a day
5 written or thoughts of gratitude
10 smiles a day
1 open heart
2 cup happy thoughts
2 cups of happy feelings
1½ cup of courage
1½ cup of kindness to someone you don’t know
Mix ingredients for happiness each day – take 1 bite a day or more for emotional wellness
Maya Angelou said that the 2 most important virtues are courage and gratitude

Be grateful each day by writing it down. I have a sticker on my toothbrush to remind me what things I am grateful for that day and courage.... be courageous enough for your truth and allow yourself to feel it.
